The Hunting & Carpenter knife UHC, Combo brings together two versatile Roselli knives in one practical setup. Designed to complement each other, the Hunting knife provides the size and reach needed for larger game, while the shorter Carpenter knife offers greater control for more precise cutting tasks.
The Hunting knife was originally developed for moose hunters in Finland. Its 100 mm blade is well suited to processing larger game such as moose, wild boar and deer, with a blade profile designed for controlled and efficient skinning.
The Carpenter knife features a shorter 85 mm blade that gives you excellent control when working close to the cutting edge. Originally designed as a versatile carving and woodworking knife, its compact blade also makes it highly useful during game processing when precision and control are more important than blade length.
Both blades are made from Roselli’s own Ultra High Carbon (UHC) steel, developed for exceptional sharpness and outstanding edge retention. With a hardness of around 64 HRC, UHC steel is considerably harder than conventional knife steels and retains its sharp edge for a very long time.
Because of this high hardness, UHC steel performs best with controlled, gliding cuts. Avoid twisting the blades or striking bone and other very hard materials to protect the fine edges.
Both handles are crafted from stained Finnish curly birch and treated with linseed oil for a comfortable and secure grip, even when wet. The two knives are carried together in a handcrafted sheath made from dark, vegetable-tanned Finnish leather, giving you two different blade sizes without the need for two separate sheaths.
Each knife is crafted, sharpened and finished by hand in Harmoinen, Finland. Natural variations in the curly birch mean that every set has its own individual appearance.
